Since 2004 Weston Scholarship has awarded 111 scholarships to the photography students of the Monterey County, totaling over $44,000.00.
Funds for these scholarships have been raised through our Student Fine Print Program, a Fine Print Art Auction and by generous private cash donations.
Your cash donation will make a difference and could change a student’s future! All donors will be listed on The Weston Scholarship website, unless requested otherwise. All levels of donations are accepted.
Student Fine Print Program
Weston Scholarship is pleased to offer the Student Fine Print Program. Each year the winners of the annual photography portfolio competition will be invited to create a limited edition of mounted and signed prints under the mentorship of Kim Weston. This spring features photographs from three past winners: Angelica Bongioanni, Cody Edison and Marketa Zlatuskova. All money raised from this program goes directly into the non-profit Scholarship’s Fund and in turn supports the awards given out every year.
Edward Weston had a vision of fine art photography that has been passed down for 3 generations, a legacy that is a highlight in Carmel history and still thriving. We are proud to promote the future of the next generation. These students benefit from mentoring with Kim, receiving exposure of their work and giving something back to the scholarship. This program is a great opportunity for you the collector, to acquire fine art photography from emerging photographers and at the same time, support the scholarship program.

This 11×14 toned silver gelatin photograph was generously donated to the Weston Scholarship by Roman himself. The photograph is an edition of 30. The cost is a $525 donation (includes shipping) (Roman’s 11×14 photographs start at $900 and go up after 10 are sold). The negative will be retired after the 30 photographs are sold.
