The Photography Fund
The Weston Scholarship Fund was established in 2004 by Kim and Gina Weston to support high school and college students studying fine art photography in Monterey County. It is specifically targeted for those students practicing analogue black and white photography. We are no longer accepting any alternative processes. Both Gina and Kim wish to foster photographic education as a way of nurturing a medium that they love.
In previous years, an auction was held to raise funds. In 2010, funds were raised through the Student Fine Print Program, a limited Roman Loranc photograph offer and generous cash donations.
Mission Statement
Educate and enlighten the community about the richness of photography on the West Coast.
The Goals of the Weston Photography Education Association

- Support this philosophy in our local institutions of learning – celebrating the roots of our photographic history.
- Offer students, artists, educators and the community the opportunity to experience the richness of photography through scholarships, mentorships, exhibitions, workshops, publications, lectures, video and artists in residence.
